Organic Papua New Guinea is back!
We're thrilled this wonderful coffee from Indonesia is back in the shop. It comes to us from the Timuza Coffee Cooperative, which represents about 260 smallholder farmers from the Kamano tribal group. This coffee is produced southwest of Kalinantu in the hamlets surrounding Namura town, where the average farm size is 1.4 hectares per family.
Grown under a canopy of casuarina and albizia shade trees, this coffee is rich in flavor and low acid. In 2016, Timuza place 1st in the National Cupping Competition.
notes: hints of honey and dark chocolate with a velvety molasses mouthfeel
where: Northeastern Papua New Guinea, 1550 meters
roast profile: medium
