This fantastic coffee from the Jinotega region of Nicaragua is harvested on small family-owned farms averaging 1.5 hectares
in size (2.5 acres).
Bordering Honduras, the mountainous region is
famous for its beautiful cliff-side vistas, natural hot-springs, and quality
coffee. Along the high northern peaks, Jinotega boasts extraordinary
biodiversity and fertile soil. Mild temperature and evenly-distributed rainfall
over the year makes this the perfect location for quality coffees. This region
has produced 30 winning coffees in the Cup of Excellence.
notes: Medium bodied with subtle tones of cocoa and walnut. Hints of black currant and a velvety finish.
